The Colorado Football
Conference began in 1987, as a loosely organized group of club football
teams from several colleges in the Denver area. Soon several
semi-professional, law enforcement and fire fighter teams joined the
newly formed league.
The number of teams each season has
fluctuated over the years from between six and thirteen. From its
modest beginnings, the league has evolved into a well organized,
nonprofit Colorado
corporation guided by an elected board of directors.
The CFC plays an eight-game regular
season schedule beginning approximately June 1st, with postseason play
consisting of quarterfinals, semifinals, and a championship game.
